FAQ

What’s the difference between cupuacu based Figa Bars  and cocoa based Chocolate bars?

For traditional chocolate, cacao beans are used and for Figa bars, the seeds of the cupuacu fruit are used.

Cocoa > Chocolate as Cupuacu> Figa Bars

What is in your bars?

3 main ingredients: Cupuacu, Dates and a hint of cocoa butter. Plus some Brazilian inspired toppings like sea salt, and the dried cupuacu fruit.

Is it sustainable?

Yes! Our bars are made from upcycled Cupuaçu seeds—giving new life to an ingredient that would otherwise go to waste. This not only reduces waste but also creates more economic opportunities for farmers.

We also work with farms in Brazil that use regenerative farming—a way of growing that improves the soil, absorbs carbon from the air, and helps protect nature. By choosing Figa, you’re supporting a food system that’s good for farmers, the planet, and you.

How can I use the bars?

They temper just like conventional chocolate, so you can melt them for drizzling, dipping, or making silky-smooth desserts. Chop them up for baking into cookies, brownies, or granola, or enjoy them straight from the bar for a rich, satisfying treat follow along on our IG for more recipes coming your way.

Do your bars have gluten, nuts, dairy, soy, etc?

Our bars are gluten free and are completely vegan + dairy free (even though they taste so milky smooth).

Our manufacturing facility does handle tree nuts (almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, pecans, pistachios, and walnuts), peanuts, and milk.

Are your bars Organic?

Our bars are not certified organic but, they are made using ingredients grown with organic practices. The farmers we partner with in Brazil for our cupuacu prioritize regenerative, chemical-free methods that respect the health of the land and the people who farm it. While organic certification is a meaningful standard, it can be cost-prohibitive—especially for small, rural producers. For us, the focus is on sourcing the highest-quality ingredients with integrity, even if they don’t carry a formal seal.
