Meet Luciano

Luciano runs Fazenda São Sebastião, a farm tucked deep in the Brazilian countryside that has been in his family for generations, passed down from his father. As Luciano says, “People come and go, but the land and what grows on it stays.” His work is a testament to what’s possible when deep roots and bold ideas come together.

Cupuacu grows on trees next to cacao, acai, bananas and other tropical fruits. The cupuacu fruit and seeds used in figa foods bars grow in Brazil on regenerative farms. When the cupuacu is ripe it naturally falls off the tree.

Grown in Harmony

Cupuaçu (coo-pu-ah-soo) thrives alongside cacao, açaí, banana, and more. This way of growing allows nature to 'do its thing' with each plant helping the others.

Our cupuaçu pods fall naturally when ripe and are gathered by hand from the forest floor—no cutting and no harm to the tree.
